love is the movement

I am 16 going on 17 innocent as a rose
Bachelor dandies
Drinkers of brandies
What do I know of those

Totally unprepared am I
To face a world of men
Timid and shy and scared am I
Of things beyond my ken

This is my song right now. Not as in my favorite song. It’s a classic, but when I say it’s “my” song, I mean my age quote. I always have a quote from a movie or song that goes along with however old I am for that year. 16 and 17 have the coolest so far. So when I turn 17, I’ve decided to useĀ a quote from twilight.

Bella: “How old are you?”
Edward: “17.”
Bella: “How long have you been 17?”
Edward: “…A while…”

It’s ridiculous how much I crack myself up. Last week I was at Danielle’s, and I was talking to Jeremiah, and randomly he was like “Hey! On your next birthday, you’ll be 17.” and I laughed and said “No I won’t, I’ll be sixte…woah…I’ll be 17.” It was so weird. It’s summer time. Which also means that glorious 3 month long break. I’m not 100% off yet. Mom still has to check some of my school work before I can officially be off. Anyways. That’s really all I have to say.

over and out.

  1. That’s a great song. I can see why you like it. Guess what? I’M COMMENTING FROM CALIFORNIA!! For some reason I think this to be really cool. I’m also oommenting from Starbucks. It’s like, Cool Pickles! I miss you!

  2. before you mentioned that you did not write that, i was like oookay, hannah’s talkin about brandy…alright… i like it still. good for when you’re in an irish pub, and that song comes on and you spend the next 15 minutes racking your mind trying to figure out what freaking song that is!…not that i’ve experienced that or anything… cheers.

  3. Danielle: I feel very special! you know I’m gonna be singing California now though. “I’ve been on the run, driving in the sun, looking out for number one, California here I come, right back where we started from, CALIFORNIAAAA!! HERE WE COME!”

Riede: Haha! yeah, you know me and my horrible addiction to brandy. cause it’s all I can think about, and apparently sing about. just incase you were sitting in an irish pub racking your racking your brain trying to figure out what it’s from…I’ll sing you the answer -singing voice- “The hills are alive, with the SOUND OF MUSIC -harmony-” get it now? Sound of music. Cheers!
